SOLAYER GmbH is pleased to announce that Dr. Dirk Habermann has joined the Company in the role of Chief Technology Officer with effect from August 2019.
Dr. Habermann comes with over 25 years of experience, which spans fields in material science, semiconductor, and photovoltaic technology.
Prior to joining SOLAYER, he held the position of Chief Innovation Officer at Meyer Burger Technology AG and was CTO at the Schmid-Group where he was responsible for the installation and ramping of over 1.5GW of turnkey solar cell production lines.
In the last 15 years, he has served as Director and Vice President in the fields of PV technology and Automation technology for various companies.
Dr. Habermann holds numerous patents in PV technology, has co-authored books in Mineralogy and Material Science and published about 100 papers in the fields of solid-state physics, material science/mineralogy, and photovoltaics. He is a member of the Industry Board of Intersolar North America and the EU PVSEC International Scientific Advisory Committee.
